The Damore Amphitheater that overlooks Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver will be the focus of the community tonight as the grand opening celebration kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET in the Culver-Union Township Park.
The project was funded with a Marshall County Community Foundation grant in the amount of $25,000, an Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority matching grant worth $30,000, over $45,000 in crowdfunding money from 200 donors, and budgeted funds from the Town of Culver.
The event will feature a ceremony, reception, and live music from the Kevin McDaniels Band. Community leaders and major donors will be in attendance. The ceremony is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist at 574-842-3140.
This community event will help usher in Culver’s Lake Fest weekend which begins Friday, July 20.
