A pre-trial motions and instructions hearing was held in Starke Circuit Court on Friday ahead of a murder trial set to begin on Monday morning.
Matthew Schutz, 32, of North Judson, is accused of knowingly and intentionally killing Bradley White by stabbing him in the chest causing his death in an incident at a North Judson residence on Jan. 17, 2017.
Portions of video and audio evidence were discussed where some of the content was ruled inadmissible by Starke Circuit Court Judge Kim Hall. The recorded conversations in question were conducted in close proximity to the incident. They will be edited as ruled before being admitted into the court record as evidence during the trial that is expected to continue through Tuesday, Aug. 7.
