The North Judson Police Department wants to add a little color to your summer and they plan to do so with today’s blue foam Slip-n-Slide event at Norwayne Field.

The event is open to people of all ages and will run this afternoon from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Officers with the North Judson Police Department will be present at the event including K9 Officer Rico Simpson and his partner Jimy.

This creative community outreach event will feature blue slip-n-slides full of foam for residents to slide down.

Town Marshal Kelly Fisher shared that a few different slip-n-slides will be set up so little ones can play in one area while the older kids and even interested adults can have fun in another spot.

Fisher is encouraging everyone to come in swimwear or clothes they won’t mind getting wet. Be sure to bring an extra set of clothes or towels for the ride home. She added that people should also wear goggles as a safety precaution.

Waivers will be provided prior to participation.
