Culver School Bus Drivers Will Have to Work on Planned eLearning Days

Planned eLearning days will give Culver school bus drivers a chance to complete required training. On Monday, the Culver School Board approved an update to the corporation’s recently adopted eLearning policy, at the recommendation of Superintendent Karen Shuman.

“So you already previously adopted this eLearning policy, but we needed to revise it for our bus drivers,” Shuman explained. “Since we have three days on the calendar for eLearning, we would like the bus drivers to report to work on those days and receive training that they need to receive to be compliant with the state or make sure the buses are clean or do their inspections. So we just modified that part of the eLearning policy, that they would be working on those three days that are on the calendar.”

Culver Community Schools’ first “eLearning flex day” will take place the day after Labor Day. The other two will coincide with parent/teacher conferences.
