The man suspected of his involvement in a fatal house fire in Medaryville in the afternoon on Monday, Aug. 13 has been charged in the incident.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed on Wednesday, Aug. 29, Medaryville resident, 47-year-old Danny Clark, faces charges of murder, and arson resulting in serious bodily injury. These charges stem from a fire at a home in the 9000 block of County Road 300 North in Medaryville where police say one person was found dead inside the home.
The victim’s identity has not been released by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office pending the results of DNA analysis. The coroner’s office has ruled the death a homicide. The manner of death remains under investigation.
Pulaski County Sheriff Jeff Richwine previously said that Clark was arrested in Louisiana after it was found that he had active warrants in Pulaski County for domestic violence, strangulation and intimidation. Detectives from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police made the trip to the Louisiana facility to question him about the Medaryville fire incident.
Clark was booked into the Pulaski County Jail on Thursday, Aug. 30. Pulaski County Prosecutor Dan Murphy said his initial hearing was held in Pulaski Circuit Court later that day.
