Winamac Park Board Continues Researching Potential Lighting Feature for Swinging Bridge

Winamac Park Board members recently met with a theatrical lighting designer, to discuss a potential feature at the Town Park’s “swinging bridge.”

Representatives from Associated Controls + Design visited the park last week. Park Board President Courtney Poor says they took some measurements and will come back with some lighting ideas. A formal cost estimate won’t be included, according to Poor, but bids would be sought once a design is in place.

Local residents have proposed adding the lighting feature in conjunction with the bridge’s centennial in 2023. The park board would also like to have the bridge painted, as recommended in its most recent inspection.
