The Pulaski County Council will consider a salary matrix amendment when it meets tonight. Auditor Laura Wheeler first proposed the changes back in July, following the adoption of a set of written “Matrix Rules” the month before. However, council members had questions about whether the EMS Department should be added into the matrix, and if so, how to do it.
Also during tonight’s meeting, the county council is expected to vote on a bond resolution to fund improvements to the Monterey-Tippecanoe Township Public Library. The measure would let the library borrow up to $475,000, although it’s hoped the actual amount will end up being closer to $385,000.
In other business, the county council is expected to learn more about proposed changes to sheriff’s deputies’ retirement plan. Prosecutor Dan Murphy will request some budget transfers and additional appropriations. The request will include funding arrangements for a new investigator vehicle. Several transfer and additional appropriation requests from other departments will be considered, as well.
Tonight’s Pulaski County Council meeting starts at 7:00 EDT in the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
