The Knox Board of Works members will meet today where they will discuss an unsafe building at 8 S. Main Street.
Updates will also be given on remodeling progress at 1 and 3 N. Main Street. Owner Pete Milev assured board members that all items noted by Building Administrator Kenny Pfost would be taken care of by today’s date including masonry work, siding and interior work.
A small claims case has been filed and Milev remains under enforcement as all repairs have not been done.
The owner of 6 N. Pearl Street is also expected to give a construction update. Lucia Valladares told board members last month that she had to hire a new contractor as the last one was not motivated to complete the work.
One property owned by landlord Melvin Zeiters will also be discussed as efforts are made to clean up that area.
In addition, all department heads will have updates for the board members on various projects.
The Knox Board of Works members will meet at 9:30 a.m. today at Knox City Hall.
