Fall leaf pickup will start Monday in the City of Knox. “The first few, two to three weeks, they just do the whole city, as needed,” Mayor Dennis Estok told the city council Tuesday. “When the leaves really start coming down, then they go by districts.”
Residents are asked to place leaves in a long row next to the street, not in the alley. Keep trash out of the leaf piles, and don’t put the leaves in bags. Branches and limbs will be collected each Thursday.
Residents may also drop off leaves, grass, brush, and other garden material at the city compost pile at Shield and Mound streets. Items should be taken out of any bags or containers.
