The Winamac Park Board will discuss the possibility of getting a second round of construction bids for the replacement of the main restrooms in the Town Park, when it meets tonight. Back in June, board members rejected the three original bids, after the lowest bidder decided to pull his bid.
They decided to wait before getting new ones, until they found out whether their application for a Land and Water Conservation Fund matching grant had been approved. The grant would also include money for new toddler playground equipment, plus a few smaller projects.
In other business tonight, the Winamac Park Board will continue discussing the possibility of hiring an outside contractor to help mow the Town Park. The idea was raised last month as a possible alternative to hiring more staff members for the park department.
Tonight’s Winamac Park Board meeting starts at 6:00 EDT at the Winamac Municipal Utilities Complex.
