The West Central School Board met in special session Monday night where a new Middle/High School Principal was named.

Scott Ritchie was unanimously selected as the new principal at the West Central Middle/High School.

Ritchie has 25 years of experience in education. He will be leaving his position as high school principal at Monroe Central Junior/Senior High School and served as principal at Knightstown Community High School for seven years.

West Central School Superintendent Don Street said Ritchie has experience in gathering and utilizing data to drive important decision making within the educational realm and has been instrumental in helping raise academic success.
