Pulaski County Historical Society Looking for Hosts

The Pulaski County Historical Society is looking for volunteers to serve as hosts at the new history museum on Monticello Street in Winamac.

While the society members are working to set regular hours for the museum they’d like to have volunteers placed so they can welcome visitors.

Applications are being accepted and training sessions are planned for early 2019. Visit pulaskihistory.net or the Pulaski County Historical Society for an application.

The museum’s first exhibits include: The History of Racing in Pulaski County, Remembering Medaryville, Early History of Photography, and Arrowheads and Other Archeological Finds

For many years, the Historical Society maintained a museum in the old quonset hut behind the County Building in Winamac. Board members and their families, and other volunteers have been busy in recent months sorting and moving items from the old facility to the new facility at the Carriage House in Winamac.
