The West Central School Board members reviewed bus bids at their most recent meeting. They approved a bid from MidWest Transit Equipment for two buses in the amount of $86,876 each.
Superintendent Don Street said two older buses will be traded in for a total of $11,400.
“We’re purchasing two new IC/Collins 78 passenger school buses,” said Street. “These buses will have stop arm cameras. We have stop arm cameras on the buses that have been ordered the previous two years as well.”
Street mentioned that all new buses in future purchases will be equipped with stop arm cameras.
