Knox City Patrolman Promoted

Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith presented the Knox Board of Public Works members with a recommendation of promotion for a patrolman.

Smith said Chris Kisela has been a full-time patrolman for the Knox City Police Department since June 5, 2007.  Smith said he’s earned the position of Corporal.  Smith added that Officer Kisela is dedicated to his job and steps up to assist with daily activities with the police department.

Board member Jim Collins asked how the raise in pay would affect the budget, but Mayor Dennis Estok assured him that the funds are there to allow the promotion.

The board unanimously approved the promotion.  Kisela’s new rank will go into effect on Jan. 1.
