Indiana Department of Revenue Touts Electronic Tax Filing

Tax season is here again, and the Indiana Department of Revenue is encouraging Hoosiers to file their tax returns electronically. DOR officials say electronic filing often leads to a significant reduction in errors, along with faster refunds.

On top of that, the DOR says individuals whose 2018 adjusted gross income was less than $66,000 may be able to file their taxes for free using the Indiana free file program. DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp says almost two million Hoosiers qualified for the program last year, but fewer than 90,000 used it.
