Starke County Election Board Sets Absentee Voting Hours

The Starke County Election Board members took action this week to set absentee voting hours for the May Primary Municipal Election.

The first day to vote early will be Tuesday, April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. CT.  That schedule will continue Monday through Friday until Monday, May 6. 

There will be an opportunity to vote on Saturday, April 27 and Saturday, May 4 from 8:30 a.m. to noon CT. 

There will be no voting on Friday, April 19 due to the Good Friday holiday.

Remember to bring a valid ID in order to vote absentee. 

The Starke County Election Board has tentatively scheduled early voting on the first floor of the Starke County Courthouse.  That matter will be taken to the Starke County Commissioners during their meeting on Monday, March 4 at 6 p.m.

If a ballot is wanted by mail, those requests can be accepted now.  Ballots will be mailed on March 20.  For more information, contact the Clerk’s office during business hours at 574-772-9128. 

Election Day is Tuesday, May 7 at the voter’s precinct.
