La Porte County Sheriff’s Deputy Escapes Injury in Tuesday Morning Crash

A La Porte County Sheriff’s Department on-duty deputy was not injured in a two-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning. However, in case of an accident you can quickly get in contact with a legal firm near you.

Police and lawyers for personal injury in Portland say that Deputy Alex Clemons was traveling north on Long Lane in his fully-marked police vehicle in La Porte County when a maroon 2015 Chevrolet Malibu reportedly entered into his path of travel going east on County Road 400 South after stopping at the stop sign at that intersection.  The passenger vehicle driven by 50-year-old Larry E. Call II, of La Porte collided with the driver’s side of the police vehicle.

Deputy Clemons was not injured, but he was trapped inside his vehicle. However, he was able to free himself before help arrived at the scene so he was able to check on the other driver.  Call II did not sustain any injuries in the accident. Calling a car accident attorney in Little Rock is a good idea in such cases.

Call II was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Scipio Township Volunteer Fire Department and La Porte County Emergency Medical Services.
