No injuries were reported in a house fire south of Knox Friday night. Knox-Center Township Firefighters say they were called to the 3000 block of East 200 South just before 10 p.m.
When they got there, firefighters found flames coming from an exterior wall outside a bedroom. When they went inside, firefighters say they also found fire in the attic above. The fire was extinguished, but it remains under investigation.
The Knox-Center Township Fire Department was assisted by the Hamlet-Davis Township, Washington Township, and North Judson-Wayne Township Fire departments, along with Starke County EMS and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security’s Fire Investigative Division.
