Pulaski County EMS Seeks Engineer to Help with Ambulance Garage Expansion Plans

Pulaski County Emergency Medical Services is looking for an engineer to work on plans for the expansion of the Winamac ambulance garage. EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo told the county commissioners last week that it’s a necessary step to meet the state’s guidelines for the process.

“They’re requiring us to have a design release, which requires pretty architectural plans and all that,” he explained. “Well, that’s outside my scope, so I was looking at engineers, and I’ve been talking to one and met with one Friday. His pricing was a little higher than I anticipated, so we’re going to do some looking around.”

DeLorenzo said he has money in his budget for the process. The garage expansion has been discussed for years, since the county’s ambulances can barely fit in the existing space.
