U.S. 35 from U.S. 30 south to Knox will get a facelift in an upcoming milling and paving project.
According to INDOT officials, crews may do some patching this week to get ready for the project anticipated to begin this month. A few inches of pavement will be milled off the top of the surface with new asphalt to be installed.
When the project gets underway, U.S. 35 north of Knox will be down to one lane of traffic with flaggers to direct traffic. A few sections will be done at a time.
Reith Riley crews will do the work. A start date will be released soon.
