West Central School Board Updated on Planned ELearning Days

Two planned eLearning days are planned for West Central students.  That’s according to West Central School Superintendent Dan Zylstra who recently updated the school board about that process.

“That way we can kind of practice before the real weather events happen,” said Zylstra.  “We need to put that on the calendar yet, but we’re looking at the end of September, and then possibly doing another one in February.  We could use that day also for professional development for teachers.”

Zylstra said a speaker was able to come in last year for professional development on the planned eLearning day and hopes that can happen again this year.

ELearning is a way for students to receive assignments electronically and work on those assignments and projects at home if school closes for the day due to inclement weather.  When done, students submit completed assignments electronically.  Teachers can help students with questions by communicating through email or other electronic means.
