The Winamac Park Board will open construction bids tonight for new restrooms in the Town Park. Plans call for the old brick restrooms to be demolished and replaced with a new structure, with more ADA-compliant stalls and more room in general.
The project was first bid out over a year ago, but it’s been delayed several times. The park board ended up rejecting the first round of bids when the lowest bidder pulled out. Then, grant funding took longer than expected to come through, due, in part, to the federal government shutdown.
Tonight’s Winamac Park Board meeting starts at 6:00 EDT at the Winamac Municipal Utilities Complex.
