Local Pickle Ball players will soon be able to play the game more often with the anticipated addition of permanent nets to the courts in Wythogan Park.
During his report Tuesday night, Mayor Dennis Estok told council members that permanent Pickle Ball nets will be installed this Thursday.
He added that, so far, the City has been hosting games on Thursdays and Sundays with temporary nets. He mentioned that groups of about 16 to 20 people have been attending those matches.
The installation of permanent nets will allow for Pickle Ball to be played anytime during the week. Mayor Estok noted that this will be a good chance for individuals who may not want to play in a group setting to try out the game, which is reportedly a combination of ping pong, tennis, and badminton.
