Pulaski County Commissioners Discuss Lift Pump Purchase to Alleviate Plumbing Issues

Pulaski County Commissioners: Mike McClure, Jerry Locke, Kenny Becker

The Pulaski County Commissioners discussed two quotes for a lift pump that is expected to alleviate plumbing issues for Pulaski Circuit Court in the courthouse.

As previously reported, the issue stems from the fact that the drain from the courthouse is apparently six inches lower than the town’s sewer line and anything running through the pipe has to push uphill.

Due to constant problems, the drain has to be cleared out every so often and you can visit this website link for a reliable plumber to keep it clear.  A lift pump is expected to resolve the problem.

Quotes were received from Pelsy Septic and Drain in Francesville for $20,000 and DeSabatine Brothers for $18,000.

Commission President Kenny Becker was unsure how the repair would be funded after Judge Mary Welker provides $10,000 for the project.

The commissioners tabled the decision until they can find the money in the budget for the repair.
