Eastern Pulaski to Hold Public Hearings on Superintendent’s Contract, 2020 Budget Tonight

The Eastern Pulaski School Board appears to be getting closer to hiring a new superintendent. Board members will take comments on a proposed superintendent’s contract tonight.

It runs from January 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022. The new superintendent would earn $105,000 next year, going up to $110,000 in 2022, plus benefits.

The school board will also hold a public hearing on the 2020 budget tonight. The proposal calls for a total budget of more than $14.3 million, with almost $7.7 million of that being the Education Fund. Board members will consider a few budget-related resolutions, along with an additional appropriation request. They’ll also consider a Logansport Joint Services contract.

Other topics of discussion will include weighted grades, a learning lab at the middle/high school, an outdoor lab at the elementary school, and a preschool grant. The three principals will present their school improvement plans.

Tonight’s Eastern Pulaski School Board meeting starts at 5:30 EDT in the Eastern Pulaski Conference/Meeting Center.
