Oregon-Davis School Board to Adopt 2021 Budget Tonight

The Oregon-Davis School Corporation’s 2021 budget will be up for adoption during tonight’s school board meeting. The proposed budget totals just over $9.1 million. The Education Fund would be almost $3.6 million, while the Operations Fund would be more than $3.1 million. Almost $920,000 would be budgeted out of the school corporation’s referendum revenues.

School Improvement Plans Presented to Oregon-Davis School Board

The Oregon-Davis School Board got an update Monday on school improvement plans. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says the overall goals are pretty similar to what they’ve been in the past. “Obviously, we want to improve our school achievement with Mathematics and Language Arts and obviously address our attendance,” he says. “At the high school level, obviously, we want to address our graduation rate.”

N.J.-S.P. Board Approves School Improvement Plans

BluejayThe two principals at North Judson-San Pierre schools have finalized their school improvement plans ahead of the state’s Dec. 1 deadline to submit them.

Even though ISTEP scores are still embargoed, both elementary Principal Mike McBride and junior/senior high school Principal Jim Polite are anticipating sub-par math scores.

McBride did tell the school board Tuesday that 98 percent of 3rd graders passed the IREAD test, and other indicators point to strong reading proficiency. Continue reading
