The Town of Medaryville’s 2020 budget was adopted by the town council Wednesday. Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood says the proposed budget was approved unanimously.
According to the public budget notice, Medaryville is asking for permission to spend just under $366,000 next year. Almost $240,000 of that will be the town’s General Fund, with a Motor Vehicle Highway Fund of $50,000, a Local Income Tax Fund of almost $31,000, and an Economic Development Income Tax Fund of $30,000.
Harwood says no salary changes are planned for town employees. A 2020 salary ordinance was presented on first reading Wednesday. It will be up for final approval at a future meeting.
Meanwhile, the 2020 budget goes to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance for final approval.
