The Town of LaCrosse is under a boil water advisory until at least Friday. To fix a water main break near the intersection of U.S. 421 and State Road 8, water had to be turned off to the entire town Tuesday evening, according to a Town of LaCrosse Facebook post.
Because of that, residents are being asked to boil all water used for consumption. Town officials say water samples will be taken for testing on Wednesday and Thursday, meaning the earliest the boil advisory could be lifted is Friday morning. When it’s safe to discontinue the boil order, the town plans to make an announcement on Facebook and through Reach Alert.
The water main break had State Road 8 closed for much of Tuesday afternoon, but INDOT says the road reopened Tuesday evening.
