The West Central School Board members considered the proposed Teacher Contract when they met Thursday night.
Superintendent Dan Zylstra said that a raise was incorporated into the base salaries.
“We had met with our negotiations discussions teams and came up with an agreement,” explained Zylstra. “Since there was some extra money from the State this year when they adjusted the district’s pension contributions, we were able to have some play and provide the teachers with a raise.”
Other negotiated points were also included in the document.
“There were some insurance adjustments and some other odds and ends of adjustments to the ECA schedule and things like that.”
The West Central School Board approved the contract with a unanimous vote. The entire contract can be found on the school’s website.
