Repairing a broken sewer line is estimated to cost the City of Knox about $16,000.
Wastewater Superintendent Kelly Clemons told the board of works last week that a break happened in a 10-inch line about 14 feet deep, in the area between Delaware and New York streets, east of Heaton Street.
Clemons said a sinkhole had formed in the area. She explained that the line will have to be dug up and repaired. JD Excavating was scheduled to start the work this past Monday.
