Knox School Board Accepts More than $1,700 in Donations

The Knox High School Athletic Department will be able to upgrade its equipment, thanks to a donation from the local community. An anonymous donation of almost $1,600 for the purchase of new dumbbells was accepted by the school board Monday.

School Board Vice-President Wendy McIntire thanked the community for its generosity. “It’s nice to see that people are very considerate when they do their donations and former alumni come back and make donations like that,” she said. “It’s very generous.”

Board members also accepted a $150 donation from Nolan Surma to be used for a Knox Community School Corporation student in need.
