Oregon-Davis School Board Gets Updates on Lions Club, Music Programs

The Oregon-Davis School Board recently got an update on how the Hamlet Lions Club continues to partner with the school corporation. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says club member Mitch Semans gave a presentation during last week’s meeting.

“We have a Leo Club in our junior/senior high school. They’re collecting eyeglasses,” Harman says. “And then, also, Mitch talked about how the Lions have made a donation. They bought a new water fountain that will be outside by our track area.”

Harman says the school board also got a report last week on the schools’ music programs. “[Teacher] Kendra Ohime presented about all the great things that she’s doing in our music program, and just really neat to hear that, with our band and all the really neat things that she’s doing in our band program.” He says board members really appreciated Ohime’s presentation.
