A woman accused of dealing methamphetamine at a fast food restaurant in Knox while working there has pleaded guilty to charges related to the case in Starke Circuit Court.
Sandra Henry, 53, pleaded guilty in a plea agreement negotiated between her Defense Attorney Blair Todd and the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office to two felony counts of dealing in methamphetamine on different occasions.
Per the terms of the plea agreement that was accepted by Starke Circuit Court Judge Kim Hall, in one case, Henry was sentenced to eight years in the Indiana Department of Corrections on a Level 4 Felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine with three years suspended to be served on probation. In the other cause, the plea agreement states that she will serve three years in the Indiana Department of Corrections on a Level 5 Felony count of dealing in methamphetamine with all of that sentence suspended to be served on probation. Those sentences will be served consecutively.
Henry will be allowed to serve the executed portion of her sentence in the Indiana Department of Corrections’ Recovery While Incarcerated substance abuse program. Upon successful completion of the program as determined by DOC officials, the court will consider a modification of the sentence. She has already completed a variety of substance abuse programs as stated in the sentencing order.
Henry has been on pre-trial release through electronic monitoring and all time served in that manner will count as good-time credit, in addition to days served in the Starke County Justice Center.
