The Winamac Park Board will hold its first meeting of the year tonight. Residents can expect to see a few park-related projects take shape in 2020. The board is in the process of replacing the restrooms in the front of the Town Park, getting new equipment for the toddler playground, and adding a permanent cornhole court and Frisbee golf course.
Planning also continues for the centennial of the park’s Memorial Bridge in 2023. Residents are raising funds for a decorative lighting feature, while the park board is planning to have the bridge painted, as recommended during a recent inspection.
Tonight’s Winamac Park Board meeting starts at 6:00 EST at the Winamac Municipal Utilities Complex.
