A preliminary step for the renovation of the Pulaski County Courthouse and expansion of the Justice Center will be considered by the county commissioners this morning.
County Attorney Kevin Tankersley will discuss an engagement letter from Barnes & Thornburg. The law firm has expressed interest in serving as the project’s bond counsel, but so far, the company hasn’t given a specific price estimate, since the structure of the financing still remains to be determined.
Also during today’s meeting, Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer will discuss the county’s tourism marketing plan, and Highway Superintendent Gary Kruger will give a bridge update. Planning is underway to replace the bridge on County Road 400 East over Mill Creek later this year.
Health Department Office Manager Terri Hansen will update the commissioners on leftover grant funding made available to the county and the hire of a new part-time employee. Board of Aviation Commissioners President Jeremy Wegner will discuss a fence at Arens Field.
The Pulaski County Commissioners are also expected to finalize an agreement with DeGroot Technology for Election Day IT services, discuss the county’s copiers, and appoint representatives to the Community Development Commission, Board of Aviation Commissioners, and Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals.
This morning’s meeting starts at 8:30 EST in the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
