A high school principal who was under investigation for allegations of misconduct has decided to resign.

Winamac High School Principal Jeremy Tucker had been on paid administrative leave since January 24, as school officials conducted an investigation. Tucker submitted a resignation letter last Friday, according to his attorney, Justin Schramm.

In his letter, Tucker said, “I deeply appreciate the opportunity given to me by the Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation and its students, who, despite my short tenure, I will forever cherish and hold in high regard. This decision was a difficult one, but ultimately, I owe it to my family to seize professional opportunity, when it arises.”

Tucker had served as Winamac High School principal since last summer. Winamac Middle School Principal Ryan Dickinson was also placed on paid administrative leave this month, which school officials said was due to an unrelated investigation of alleged misconduct.
