Medaryville Town Council Closes Town Park

The Medaryville Town Council members agreed to close the Town Park due to COVID-19 concerns.

The baseball diamond is closed and the skate park is not in use.  The playground equipment is also closed to children through the end of the health pandemic.  Town Marshal Dave Combs said he will put up signs to indicate that the playground is closed as well as the other amenities in the park.

The closures are now in effect until further notice.

Combs also reported that the call volume is down at the Medaryville Police Department.  The officers aren’t in contact with any residents and handling complaints over the phone.  Precautions are also being taken during traffic stops.

The Police Department received donations of masks and other Personal Protective Equipment items so the supply is in good shape, according to Combs.
