The North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation will be adjusting its lunch pickup program next week. Starting Monday, May 4, all lunches will be served from the junior/senior high school’s front parking lot.
As part of the change, the meals will now be hot lunches. School officials say the change is being made in order to meet supply and demand, as well as to offer more variety.
N.J.-S.P. will allow parents to pick up hot meals without their children present, but they’ll have to give their students’ ID numbers, due to federal rules. But school officials say any child in the community may get a lunch, even if they’re not an N.J.-S.P. student, since the school corporation is registered as an “open” site.
The lunch pickup program will continue through May 22.
