The total number of Indiana residents diagnosed with COVID-19 is now 17,182.
In the daily update provided by the Indiana State Department of Health on Wednesday, it states that another 605 residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 from Tuesday’s report.
To date, 91,550 coronavirus tests have been reported to the Indiana State Department of Health.
The same report indicated that a total of 964 residents have died from COVID-19 to date, which is an increase of 63 from the previous day’s total. The state says 101 probable deaths have been reported. Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on x-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms, but there is no positive test is on record.
Starke County reported 16 positive cases of COVID-19 while Marshall County reported 28 cases and Pulaski County with 23 cases. Cass County had a small increase of cases reported with 27 which brought Wednesday’s total to 1,125 as health officials deal with an outbreak at the Tyson meat packing plant. La Porte County reported 209 positive cases in Wednesday’s report.
Information on how many people have recovered from COVID-19 is not available in the report.
