Pulaski County has shared more details about its first COVID-19 case. In a post on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page, county officials say the person was exposed to the coronavirus out-of-state. The person learned of the exposure potential early on and has been quarantining at home along with family members.
The county says the person called the Pulaski Memorial Hospital COVID-19 hotline, and hospital personnel tested them in their car. Pulaski County Health Department staff delivered supplies to the person’s home, so that a member of the household wouldn’t have to go out. County officials believe the person has taken the necessary precautions to lower the risk of transmission, but there are no guarantees that it hasn’t spread.
