Pulaski County Public Library Remains Closed through April 20

Officials at the Pulaski County Public Library have decided to keep the library facilities closed until April 20, or as long as Governor Holcomb’s stay-at-home order is in effect.

Library Director MacKenzie Ledley said the library staff members are answering the phones during regular hours Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET.  The phone number is 574-946-3432.

Books and other items will not be due until the library opens.  Ledley says there is no need to renew the items.  Online services, such as downloading ebooks, audiobooks, music, streaming video, or taking online classes, can all be completed through the Library’s website or by downloading the Libby app on a smartphone or tablet.

Meanwhile, the library’s construction project is in full swing which includes the renovation of meeting rooms, streamlining the circulation desk, providing a dedicated space for teens, and more.  Ledley commented that the goal of the project is to make the best use of the building to meet the evolving needs of the community.

When the order is lifted the library will offer curbside services.
