As the school closure continues, one local school corporation will be delivering assignments to students’ homes. West Central bus drivers will take students their first round of assignments tomorrow. Starting next week, work will be delivered every Monday, and completed assignments will be picked up every Friday.
Families whose kids don’t ride the bus have the option of picking up and dropping off assignments at the elementary school. While eLearning will be used, at least some of the work will be done on paper. From April 7 to April 30, each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be considered an eLearning Day at West Central.
West Central will also begin delivering breakfast and lunch starting Monday. Anyone 18 and under can get meals for every weekday. The food will be delivered along the school corporation’s bus routes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. For non-bus-riders, meals will be available for pickup at the Francesville-Salem Township Public Library and the West Side Center in Medaryville.
Families who still need to make arrangements for the delivery of assignments are asked to call their child’s bus driver directly. Schools remain closed until at least May 1.
