Knox Mayor Dennis Estok will keep Knox City Hall and all other municipal buildings closed until May 24. According to the mayor’s updated Executive Order, essential employees will only have access to the buildings. Residents are encouraged to use the drop box at City Hall for payments. Payments can also be made over the phone or through the city’s website at www.cityofknox.net.
The city will continue to offer essential city services such as public safety, sanitation, and planning and code enforcement.
All City of Knox parks will continue to remain open for limited use until May 24 when they will be in full operation. Social distancing protocols are in force. Any gathering of more than 25 people is prohibited. The parks are available for walking, running or biking.
Park amenities will be closed until May 24 which includes shelters, basketball courts, baseball fields, softball fields, dugouts, playground and exercise equipment, the pickleball court, and the skate park. The splash pad will not open until June 14.
Mayor Estok encourages all residents to slow the spread of COVID-19.
