The Koontz Lake Association was the recipient of a grant to get new welcome signs.
Representatives from the Koontz Lake Association say the project is possible thanks to a generous grant from the Starke County Community Foundation. Two new welcome signs will be installed on the north and south ends of town on State Road 23.
A few residents have donated time and skills to build and install the signs.
The signs are expected to be complete by the end of the summer as COVID-19 has slightly delayed the project.
