Lane closures are anticipated on U.S. 39 and U.S. 35 in La Porte beginning Monday, May 11.
Officials from the Indiana Department of Transportation say patching and resurfacing in those areas will cause portions of the road to be closed to traffic through late August, depending on the weather.
U.S. 39 will be reduced to one lane between U.S. 35 and U.S. 30 during work hours and the four lanes of U.S. 35 will be reduced to two lanes between Kingsbury Ave. and U.S. 6 with one lane in each direction.
During construction, INDOT urges drivers to stay alter and follow traffic directions carefully. Allow extra time when driving in these areas and lower speeds.
