Last week’s Starke County Youth Club Radiothon gathered $32,500.
Executive Director Irene Szakonyi said it was a little short of the goal, but she was pleased that people were able to give to the youth of the county, especially during this time of uncertainty.
Funds will help the organization’s after school programs that include homework assistance, enrichment activities, and recreational centers. Szakonyi says these programs help build responsibility and character where students can prepare for the future workforce. Donations can be made at any time to help the county’s youth.
