Officials at the West Central School Corporation are preparing to act on a reduction in force.
West Central School Superintendent Dan Zylstra said the student count is decreasing which results in less funding coming into the school corporation. Officials are planning for the 2021 budget and will have to cut funds.
Zylstra said two-and-a-half staff positions in the bargaining unit will be sent letters alerting them of their status with the corporation. He didn’t say which positions would be relieved.
