Breakfast, Lunch Prices to Increase at Culver Community School Corporation

The paid breakfast and lunch prices for students and adults will increase this coming school year at the Culver Community School Corporation.

Superintendent Karen Shuman asked the school board’s approval to increase Middle/High School paid lunch price by $.25 to $3.00 and the lunch price at the Elementary School by $.10 to $2.75

Breakfast prices will increase to $1.50 at all schools and adult prices will increase to $1.75 for breakfast and $3.50 for lunch.

Shuman said the school isn’t going to ask for cost increase waiver this year, but one may be requested next year as there could be a steep increase.

She also noted that extra items that are sold while school is in session help fund the food service and that revenue has not been collected since the school was closed thus creating a shortfall.

The board unanimously approved the prices as presented.
