The ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Beach Lodge in Culver is planned for Saturday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET.
The Beach Lodge underwent renovations in 2019 as just one of the town’s projects outlined in the Stellar Communities Designation with funding from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the Town of Culver and Union Township. It was completed at the end of March.
The concession stand was updated as part of the renovation effort, as well as improvements made to the public restrooms and kitchen. Work was also done on the floors, walls, lights, and plumbing.
An addition to the building accommodated the installation of an elevator and staircase. More ADA compliant updates were made to the building during the effort. The building also has an enclosed porch area that overlooks scenic Lake Maxinkuckee.
The community is invited to the event that includes refreshments. The nearby Farmer’s Market will be open until 1 p.m. ET.
