Indiana Makes $10 Million Available to Help Arts Organizations, Festival Organizers

Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch

Indiana arts organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic will soon be able to apply for a share of $10 million. Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch announced Wednesday that the Indiana Destination Development Corporation will be offering grants with federal funding from the CARES Act.

“Governor Holcomb and I know that our arts and cultural organizations are especially vulnerable right now,” Crouch said during Wednesday’s COVID-19 press conference. “Our arts, culture, and local traditions all make considerable and necessary contributions to the wellbeing of our communities.”

The funding will be available to both nonprofit and for-profit organizations that have been impacted by COVID-19. They could range from museums and theaters to event and festival organizers.

The maximum individual grant amounts have not yet been announced. The money will have to be spent this year. Applications will be available starting Monday at visitindianatourism.com.
